Lindahl advises HANZA on acquisition
Lindahl has once again acted as legal adviser to HANZA, this time in connection with the acquisition of the operations of five factories from contract manufacturer Fortaco. The acquisition, which has now been completed, adds approximately 1,300 employees and an annual turnover of approximately SEK 1.9 billion to HANZA.
The acquired factories are located in Finland, Estonia and Poland and specialise in heavy engineering and complex assembly. The operations include the manufacture of advanced steel structures, as well as the assembly and testing of large, complex products incorporating mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
The acquisition strengthens HANZA’s manufacturing capacity and market position in Europe and represents an important step in the implementation of the Group’s HANZA 2028 strategy. The five factories will be integrated into HANZA’s existing manufacturing clusters in their respective countries. Following the acquisition, the Group has approximately 6,300 employees and an annual turnover of around SEK 12 billion.
Lindahl’s team primarily comprised Michael Edquist, Alexander Hase, Michaela Larsson, Hugo Norlén and Isabella Mellberg.
