Lindahl advisor in the sale of district heating operations
Lindahl has acted as legal advisor to Mälarenergi AB in connection with the sale of its district heating operations in Kungsör to the energy company Adven Sverige AB.
The Kungsör district heating network supplies heat to approximately 300 customers in the urban area of Kungsör and produces around 40 GWh of heat annually. The heat is generated entirely from renewable fuels such as wood chips, pellets and bio-oil. The heating plant has been in operation since 1989, and Mälarenergi has owned the facility since 2006. Through the transaction, Adven has taken over the operations via the newly formed company Kungsörs Fjärrvärme AB.

Mälarenergi AB supplies electricity, district heating, district cooling and telecommunications services to customers in the Mälardalen region. After nearly 20 years of ownership of the Kungsör district heating operations, Mälarenergi can now focus on its core business in other parts of the region.
