Lindahl advises Koenigsegg on billion euro transaction
Lindahl is acting as legal advisor to Koenigsegg Automotive AB in a strategic partnership with National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS).
The deal involves NEVS making a capital injection of EUR 150 million through a new share issue and the purchase of existing shares. NEVS will thus become the owner of a 20% minority stake in Koenigsegg's parent company.
In addition, the parties will form a joint venture to expand into new market segments. NEVS will provide $150 million in seed capital for a majority stake in the joint venture. Koenigsegg will provide intellectual property rights, technical licenses and product designs. Through the joint venture, NEVS and Koenigsegg will capitalize on each other's strengths and jointly develop a product for new segments.
