Mikael Wärnsby represents Sweden at international conference on new nuclear power

The development of new nuclear power capacity is currently on the agenda in several European countries, including France, the UK, Poland, Finland and Sweden.

On 3–4 September, the European Federation of Energy Law Associations (EFELA) held an international conference in Milan focusing on regulatory frameworks for licensing new nuclear power in Europe. The conference brought together participants from around 20 countries, including representatives from the IAEA and Euratom.

Mikael Wärnsby, partner at Lindahl specialising in energy and environmental law, represented Sweden as a speaker and panelist. He participated in a panel comparing licensing approaches and regulatory authority models across several European countries, contributing the Swedish perspective on the development of new nuclear power.
