Axel Hedberg appointed new CIO at Lindahl
Advokatfirman Lindahl is advancing its development and digitalisation journey by merging IT and Knowledge Management. The newly formed department will be led by Axel Hedberg, who has been appointed as CIO.
Axel Hedberg is a lawyer and previously served as the Head of Knowledge Management & Innovation at the firm, where he was responsible for Lindahl's development and progress in AI. His prior experience includes working as an insurance lawyer at SEB and as an associate at Vinge .
"It feels very inspiring to take on the entirely new role of CIO and assume overarching strategic responsibility for our digital work environment. We believe that the development, especially within AI, will have a significant impact on the legal industry at large, and we need to adapt our organisation to be among the leaders in the field," says Axel Hedberg.
The idea to merge Knowledge Management and IT emerged earlier this year when it became clear that the former IT manager, Patrik ben Salem, would be leaving Lindahl for a new challenge .
"IT and KM have had a close collaboration in recent years, both regarding AI and in the development of our digital work environment, so this feels like a natural step. We are very pleased that Axel Hedberg has accepted the role of CIO, and we wish Patrik ben Salem great success in the future," says Mårten Steen, Lindahl's chairman.
Axel Hedberg assumed his new role on April 1st and will be part of Lindahl's central management team
