Joakim Sundbom

Joakim has long experience within the area of EU and competition law, and has represented companies in a large number of cartel investigations and abuse of dominance matters. Joakim has represented parties in large and complex merger control investigations and investigations regarding joint ventures between competitors, both at the national and EU level.
Joakim also regularly assists clients in competition compliance matters, and has substantial experience in competition litigation, both before the courts (the Patent and Market Courts and Courts of General Jurisdiction) and in arbitration proceedings. Joakim has also assisted clients in many cases which relate to other EU law aspects, such as the rules on free movement, State monopolies and State aid. Joakim heads the EU & Competition Law group.
Joakim is ranked as one of Sweden's leading experts in the area of EU and competition law by ranking institutes such as Chambers & Partners and Lexology Index (Who's Who Legal).
